This page is to assist those who have witnessed the mass disappearance
of multiplied millions of people throughout the world.
To say this is a scary and confusing experience is probably a horrible
understatement. You've likely lost someone you know, maybe someone
you loved; you may have been injured moments after this event.
No doubt you've witnessed destruction on an unprecedented scale.
Now you want to know why...
What has happened is the long-awaited Rapture ("catching-up") of those
among the Earth's inhabitants who belonged to Jesus (the) Christ (Messiah).
You who have been left-behind will experience what the Bible calls
the Great Tribulation. The events that will transpire from this point onward
for the next seven years will comprise death, destruction, and suffering
that will dwarf anything anyone has ever experienced.
As you've probably already noticed, a single world-wide government is in
the process of forming. A single world-wide spiritual following will also
form and they will unite as a single world system. Everyone will be required
to submit to this system or face dire consequences. The leader of the government
is the one the Bible calls the Antichrist, and the spiritual leader is known as
the False Prophet (however, they will almost certainly be two of the most
liked, admired, respected — and ultimately feared — individuals of our time).
You will be required to "pledge" your allegiance to this government/religion
by taking some distinguishing identification mark upon your hand or forehead.
DO NOT TAKE THIS MARK as it will seal you as an eternal enemy of God
— remember, everyone's soul, or essential being, is immortal:
the question is "where will you spend your immortality?"
Despite the difficulties everyone will endure, God still extends his mercy to
those who want Him; He extends His mercy to mankind through the
sacrificial death of His son Jesus (who is both
100% deity and 100% human). God raised Jesus from the death of His human body,
and restored Him to his place of honor, power, joy, and glory with an eternal body. God will do this for
everyone else who sincerely comes to Him in the name of Jesus. (This is what the
Bible means by the Resurrection of Jesus, and all those who love and have
surrendered to the One True God, described in the Bible.)
God has already resurrected those who were His from the past up to this point
(those who recently disappeared, were resurrected alive into their new eternal bodies).
All of them are now enjoying themselves in the presence of God (Though each, including myself, were once His enemy, yet His reconciling love love for us caused us to surrender our lives to Him.)
All of you have the opportunity to join them — God wants you to come and
join Him in His eternity. But you must come on His terms (just as all of those
mentioned above have):
- You must admit that you are morally imperfect, and that you need
God's forgiveness. (Everyone does things they know they should not,
and does not do things they know they should — this is what the
Bible calls sin. God holds us accountable for our sin the moment
we become mature enough to know right from wrong, and then choose to do
wrong anyway.)
- Know with your head that Jesus, God's son, was punished in place of us,
for our faults. Then accept with your heart this gift of forgiveness.
(This is known as "putting your faith in God," it is a matter of
simple and sincere acceptance of God's gift.)
- Surrender ultimate control and ownership of yourself to God.
We have all rebelled against God and we need to turn away from our
inbred-rebellion and (with His help) develop a lifestyle of obedience
to God (the Bible calls this Repentance, and it will be an
on-going act of your will).
In practical terms, it will mean that you
develop of lifestyle of choosing right over wrong when you know the
difference, and not withholding good when it is in your power to do so. It's
important to realize that no one can consistantly do this with
relatively unselfish motives without God's help. God will help you
to want to be obedient, and He will help you to be obedient
by giving you strength and wisdom (especially if you ask).
If you want to switch sides in this cosmic rebellion, then you might say
something like this to God from your heart:
Heavenly Father, I know I've rebelled against you and fallen short
of your perfect moral standard. I now know that You sent Jesus, Your only
son, to die in my place, to pay the debt I owe You. I accept Your wonderful gift!
Please take my life back into Your hands and be my God. With Your help
I will turn from my old rebellious ways and replace them with a lifestyle
that pleases You. Thank You Father!
It's not the exact words, but the sincerity of your decision and willingness
to let Him change you that counts. So, if you've given yourself to God in
this way, then He has just adopted you into His eternal family —
He will re-make your spirit in you, and He will help you by His Spirit,
and we will all join together to worship and enjoy Him forever.
From this point forward, you need never fear torment
or death in this life, because God holds your soul in safe-keeping for you,
and He will resurrect you as a Child of God, a Citizen of Heaven.
Your next steps should include:
- Telling someone else of your new commitment. God wants you to
take the risk to spread the news and joy to another person. (You have
now been appointed by God to be an ambassador of His Kingdom, one
of His earthly representatives, one He can enlist to help others
learn of His saving gift of Jesus.)
- Finding and reading a copy of the Bible. Starting with the Gospel (Good News)
of John would be most helpful. (The last book, Revelation, though difficult
to read and understand, will let you know specifics about the tribulation
time you are experiencing. Ask God, and He will give you special insight.)
- Find others who have made the same commitment and show each other
unconditional loving-kindness, because Jesus pointed-out that the best
way to demonstrate our love for God is to love others, even our enemies.
(Notice that "love" here is an action-verb; you can love someone you don't
like. This kind of love hopes and works for the best of the beloved, even
if that person is an enemy.)
- Go to one of the web sites listed below. There is lots of crucial information
that will help you grow, survive, and even thrive in this difficult but
special time.
Being identified as a Christian, and
loving others unconditionally, will be unusually difficult during
the coming tribulation. God will reveal Himself to mankind in very
overt ways such that your faith will be less of walking in
uncertainty (as it was before the Rapture) and more of enduring
extreme hardship.
You will be severely pressured to accept the Antichrist's mark
of allegiance/identification on your hand or forehead. DO NOT DO THIS as it
will seal your separation from God in Hell for eternity. People who resist
this mark will be unable to buy or sell, and will most likly be
hunted people eventually. (God will help you resist if you surrender to
Him and ask for his help!)
